Origin of Embryos: SRMS
Date of Creation: 06/19/2007
Egg donor age when created: 35
Sperm donor age when created: 47
Number of Embryos Available: 5

Overall Batch Quality:* A
Implantation Rate:** 2/2 for Fresh
None yet for Forzen
* We grade the embryos based on cell number (i.e., type of morula or blastocyst), reported fragmentation rate and did past transferred embryos result in a pregnancy. This rating is then converted to a letter grade (i.e., A, B, or C) and even a "GPA Equivalent" using a 4.0 scale (i.e., 3.3 "Overall GPA")
** The Past Implantation Rate is the number of embryos implanted in the past divided by the total number of embryos transferred in all fresh and frozen cycles from the couple donating the embryos. The higher the percent, the more likely the embryos are to implant and grow.

What we want to say to the Recipient of our Donated Embryos

We adopted our first baby and gave birth to our twins via IVF. We want to share the incredible experience of life and 'give back' this pure joy to someone who has endured the emotional roller coaster of infertility. We trust that you will be as elated as we both were when we held our first baby, and then our twins. Our children were introduced to our lives in very unique, special ways. We will always embrace their origins, and hope that the future parent(s) of the embryos will feel the same.

SRMS Comments

I know this couple quite well. Her heart clearly matches her beauty and intelligence. Two of the five embryos were probed as normal male embryos. Two had slight genetic issues and we strongly suspect the embryos converted to normal and these embryos will produce healthy children. The embryos either converted or they will not survive thaw, grow, implant or will be miscarried. These genetic issues are not compatible with an (abnormal) live birth. The last embryo also looks great and should do well.

It is unusual to get donated embryos with genetic screening and these embryos need to find a very healthy and wonderful home.
